Our New House!
On August 2, 2004, Max saw "the Pottery Barn house." He liked it so
much that he wanted to go back to the real estate office immediately to
make an offer. Realtor Pamela (Gilchrist) Halloran wouldn't let him,
but Max and Robyn
did put an offer on the home the next day. Waiting patiently, our offer
was counter-offered. In a hurry, we matched their counter-offer,
sweetened the deal, and wrote the current owners a letter to tell them
why we wanted their house to become our new home.
... What we both really
enjoy, are the
colors. In our current house, each room is painted a different color:
the green room, the blue room, the purple room. We said we would
probably never find another house like that, and would have to spend a
lot of time painting, to give our house the character of a home. Then
your house has all of those lovely colors! The family room is perfect,
one of the bedrooms is already a wonderful color for a nursery, the
master bedroom and second bedroom are elegant, and Robyn loves the
purple bathroom. (Purple is Robyn's favorite color.) ...
At 8:59 pm Eastern time, Max called Robyn and... we got the house!
