Robyn's World

A portal to all Robyn-related items on the Internet. This page features information and links about my work, hobbies, and medical life.

Work
Although I am a technical writer by profession, I enjoy working with non-profit groups. At present, most of my non-profit experience comes from working with community theatre groups, most notably the Nashua Theatre Guild. My work range includes database administrator documentation, training and documentation for "normal" users, marketing communications, and theatre programs, posters, and ads.

Scrapbooking
Scrapbooking is my creative, crafty pasttime. I made our wedding album, and I have several decades of photos in albums. Of course, I always have more to do. I am beginning a business creating original adoption scrapbooks. Meant to Be: Adoption Profiles, Lifebooks, & More should be online by September 2007.

Family & Genealogy
My aunt Carol started me on Family Tree Maker in 1999 at my cousin Kristen's wedding. Since then, I've dabbled here and there in genealogy. Some of the family tree information is posted online. This all became worthwhile when I was contacted by the wife of my father's cousin "the other Robert Nace" and we found several relatives who had been lost to us.

CRPS & RSD
I was diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, formerly known as RSD, in March 2003. I have been trying to share the knowledge I find with others.

Sappy But Satisfying
My cousin Mike sent me this, and I just like it.
  1. There are at least two people in this world that you would die for.
  2. At least 15 people in this world love you in some way.
  3. The only reason anyone would ever hate you is because they want to be just like you.
  4. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone, even if they don't like you.
  5. Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you before they go to sleep.
  6. You mean the world to someone.
  7. You are special and unique.
  8. Someone that you don't even know exists loves you.
  9. When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good comes from it.
  10. When you think the world has turned its back on you take another look.
  11. Always remember the compliments you received. Forget about the rude remarks.
